I really like the shaved bare look on my wife but she has not done so in a long time. When I asked her why she won't go bare anymore she gave me two reasons that I couldn't argue with: 1. she is leery about using a blade so close to her delicate parts and 2. she can't use a blade everyday without getting razorburn and she hates the itchy feeling of stubble starting to grow back. so here is my question. Some advertisers on this site, personalshavers.com and the-bikini.com, have the body bare shaver and various other trimmers. Has anyone tried these and do they work as well as the advertiser and testimonials claim? are they worth the money? Is there anything out there better? Any feedback is appreciated.

I asked my wife to try waxing. She was really nervous. All kinds of stories about how it hurts. Well, it turned out to not be a big deal at all. As a matter of fact she wants to start getting he legs waxed too. I was surprised. All your wife has to do is go to a high end Salon (European Wax Center for example [i have no affiliation]) and get a "Full Bikini" Costs $20-25 and it lasts a month!! woo hoo. The first time does not last that long because the hair seems to grow in cycles. The 2nd time and there on last about 3-4 weeks. Its also way, way more smooth. No itching for her and its really easy. Only takes a couple of minutes. Most salons usually have an offer for first time like $10. Hell, I'm going to get my wife a year's worth coupon book as a Christmas gift (not sure if its for me or her).

My wife has the same problems - razor rash and itchy when she shaves. Plus, her "down there" hair grows in at all kids of crazy angles. She waxes before vacation or when she's knows she's going to be nude in public, and also prefers leaving a "landing strip" so she doesn't have to shave too close to her clit. Of course, I always volunteer to help and supervise - but that's just the kind of stand up guy I am.

You can purchase a Seiko shaver from beavershaver.com - get the package with the trimer and anti shaver burn (and make it is the seiko one not an imitation). If you keep shaving frequently the irratation dimenishes ( our experience). Dont wait for just before you go - start a couple months earlier or follow oosuntanmans example.

I see that there are two different models. Which one do you have and which is better? One takes batteries while the other is rechargeable. How long would say it takes if done on a daily basis? |

You might want to try a good quality 3 blade razor and ordinary hair conditioner. Cheap and effective. Batteries not required.

Wife and I both been shaving for many years. After the first month or so the irritation stops and all is ok. Rules are you shave each day or every other day as a regular maintaince shave in the shower (or tub). We use normal razor with a body soap or medicated shaving cream. I don't use an oil afterward but wife does.Think she just likes to put the oil on. By the way, wife does the day to day maintaince in the shower but when we are going out in public, I do the shave for her.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the most important fact, does she want to do this? My wife does not, end of story. She does wish the hair on her head grew as fast as her pubes. We have tried, and I have encouraged to the point of begging, but for her it aint going to happen. She also complains about stubble catching tissue, razor burn, irritation, sweating, and sticking during sex. Just call her nut bush city limits.

Then let her be as she wishes. Not everyone loves the bare look. I personally don't like it at all.

I like the results and the attention of having a wax. The first time is no fun, but it is kind of a forbidden treat, and the attention later at home is worth it. Try a benadryl later if there is any itching.... A friend and I tried the 'do it yourself at home' with mixed results. We had fun with each other (and a lot of wine) but the waxing was a failure. Seek a good professional!
