| Message: | All units at Green Cay Village are 3 bedroom. Units 2 and 4 ONLY have a separate outside entrance door to one of the bedrooms, which allows these units to be rented simultaneously as "Villas" and/or "Studios". These are the only two units where someone not in your own group might be staying under the same ROOF as you, but the other party would have their own entrance door and would have no access to your part of the house. Other than units 2 and 4, the Villas are never rented out to more than one group at a time, so any unused bedrooms in a unit are simply kept locked. Villas 18 and 20 are the farthest up the hill and have the best view. Villa 20 does NOT have a hot tub. Hot tubs are in Villas 2, 4 and 18 only. If you rent units 2, 4, or 18 as a one-bedroom or two-bedroom "Villa", you get the pool; if you rent units 2 or 4 as a one-bedroom "Studio", you get the hot tub. And of course, if you rent any of three units as a 3-bedroom Villa, you get the both the pool AND the hot tub. OR, if no one is renting the "studio" portion of 2 or 4, you can rent these units as a two-bedroom Villas and get the pool AND the hot tub. Likewise for Villa 18 depending on the season and demand for that unit; even though my wife and I were the only two in our party, I paid a little more to rent unit 18 as a two-bedroom Villa so that we could use both the pool and the hot tub. It was well worth it. Only Villas 2, 4, 18 and 20 have air conditioning, which isn't TOTALLY necessary since there's usually a good breeze on the hill, but it sure can feel nice after a hot day in the sun. All the units at Green Cay Village Villas have excellent privacy. Decks are hidden behind groves of trees which don't obstruct the view of sky and ocean, but you would have to pretty much go out of your way to see onto the decks of the other units. If you go nude at Green Cay it's very difficult for anyone to see you, but if they should happen to see you they won't care because you're five minutes from a clothing optional beach where hundreds people play naked every day. Yanick Noblet, the manager of the villas, told me that most of the guests stay nude in their villas most of the time, so everyone there is totally used to it. Whether you cover up when the maid comes to the door with fresh croissants every morning really just depends on how comfortable you feel, because nobody else cares. To the people who have recently posted messages about "reluctant spouses" when it comes to nudity, I'd like to say that the combination of Green Cay Village and Orient Beach turned out to be a great way to acquaint my wife with nudism. I had been to nude beaches before, but she hadn't. I told her we'd do whatever she felt comfortable with on our St. Martin vacation, including spending all of our time at "textile" beaches if she preferred (and most importantly, I meant that). We walked Orient Beach clothed early on our first Sunday morning and saw many nude walkers. My wife was intrigued but naturally nervous. She said she'd have to work up her nerve before she could take her clothes off in front of other people. We spent our first day nude in our own pool and hot tub at the villa, where no one could see us. She learned to love the feel of the air, sun and water on her body, and learned to understand why I hate swimsuits. Monday morning we walked Orient Beach (clothed again). It was very hot, so we stopped to rest in the shade at Dolphin Watersports in Club Orient. I took my clothes off, jumped in the ocean to cool down and invited my wife to join me. She realized she'd wind up spending her whole week clothed if she didn't go for it sooner or later, so she stripped and joined me in water up to her neck. By the end of the next day you'd have thought she'd been a nudist her whole her life. We were talking to people we met at Club Orient, going to Papagayo's, walking the full length of the beach nude the next morning, no problems. She adapted to nudism so well, she picked up a Club Orient brochure and is ready to stay there next year. Me, I'm still sold on Green Cay Villas because of the service, pool, hot tub, air conditioning, and most of all PRIVACY when we want it (which makes it perfect for a romantic getaway for two). Honestly, Green Cay is the best vacation money I ever spent. I wish I lived there. Yanick, if Frederick (the maintenance guy at the Villas) ever quits, I want his job! |
