Message:  Walked off the beach yesterday at 12:10pm arrived back in Nashville last night after six great and glorious days. This was our third trip in four years - here are a few of our comments:

Beach Erosian - Water up to the front piling at KonTiki. Beach somewhat back at Pedro's, most of the large rocks arounf the point are still exposed. Still safest to walk accross the parking lot to get between the main beach and Club O. Club O's beach is much shallower than in past years. Everywhare else the beach appeared to be just about the same as two years before.

Morning Walks - Just as in prior years a there are a good number of people walking the beach nude from appx: 7AM to 9:00AM every day. After 9 the vloune drops quite a bite. However, ther were still a lot of people through out the day.

Full nudity at various beaches - Coco's appears to have expanded their area reserved for nudity ( we were there five out six days). They even have a small card posted near the restrooms where they state the naturism is acceptable - just let the beach boys know and they will assist is getting chairs for you. By the way Joseph and Laurence are great and really hustle to make your time enjoyable. I saw several people fully nude at LaPlaya each day we were there. And yesterday morning there were even a couple of people fully nude at Mt. Vernon (I also did not see the infaumous sign at Mt. Vernon)

General Weather - Very windy Sat, Sun, and Mon., with some small squals that blew in and out in a few minutes. Not enough to spoil our day just a little irratating. Remember a bad day at Orient Beach is head and shoulders above a great day in the snow and cold.

Great new resturant - Sola Luna, on the Road to Mt. Veron, appx: two blocks on the left from Mt. Veron. A little pricey but the food is great as well as the atmosphere. Also has exceptional meals at LaPlantation.

Real Downer - A gentleman from one of the cruise ships died on the beach (Sunday, I think) He was with a group at LaPlace(Waikiki) just in front of CapCaribes. Don't know all details but it appears he was in the water, caught up in a big wave, smashed his face into the bottom, panicked, swallowed a lot of water and may also had a heart attack. People worked on him for quite some time, EMT's and physician arrived on scene but to no avail. People have to understand the waves can be great fun but are also very dangerous.

We are already planning for next spring just 11 months to go.

Go and enjoy.
