Just got it in email and lots of great stuff. 10% discount year round if you belong to a major nudist association like AANR for stays 7 days or longer. 3 hours of 50% off drinks. 2:30-3:30 Perch and 4:30-6:30 Papagayo. Wings, meatball, munchies at the Papagayo HH.
News about the new road too. Don't see it on their website yet though.

I just read this too. All positive stuff for CO. We have just made our reservation 2 days ago, and I presume that the 10% discount will apply, since we are members of AANR. About time with that road !! S and B

| AMFLYR... you may want to check with them. The fine print says it's good for "future reservations only". Not sure how sticky they'll be if you only booked two days ago. We booked a month ago, so we're out of luck. |

I heard today that footings were being set, on the road, cement at that. Progress, little by little.
I heard thru reliable sources that Caliente in Tampa area has had a terrible season since they were nixed by AANR. Maybe the economy??
The resort has had this quazi INF AANR affiliation forever but not really affiliated in the true sense and this is a step in that direction. It seems that The people who will keep the place going are affiliated nudists and as such it is good to support those that support you.

Great news on Club O. I agree little by little is excellent progress. On the Caliente side we were gonna book a trip to FL from CA and nixed the idea because of the swinger affiliation... so. You have 1 vote from 5 people who skipped a week there. |

I heard that too about Caliente, not my kind of scene.
That is why we go to ClubO and why they are pushing nudist association affiliation.

To Cdn couple: I just received an email today from Matilde at CO. Just as long we have a valid membership card at checkin we are OK. I sent our membership card number to them also just in case. So I see no problems. Looking forward to 16 days of a quiet vacation, with a 4th July party or two to liven it up !! Bruce & Sheila[:)][:)]

AMFLYR: I just now emailed ClubO (and got a reply within 5 minutes!!)... here's the exchange:
Annette, The latest newsletter from Club Orient says that a 10% discount is available for stays of 7 nights or more if you are a member of certain naturist associations. If we are members of FCN (Federation of Canadian Naturists), would we be entitled to the discount on our stay in April, even though we have already booked?
***
Absolutely, be sure to bring your card and present it at check-in: Annette Reservation Department Club Orient Resort

I'm not sure which I'm more excited about, the 10% off for being an AANR member or an honest to goodness real road!! We go in July and have been enjoying the 15% off 14+ night stay discounts so 10% is better than nothing by I was sad to see the 15% go.
Having a real road with street lights is going to be amazing!
zarnill - I understand your comment about Caliente. It is unfortunate that the financial situation led them to doing whatever they could to get dollars in the door. FWIW - Paradise Lakes is still a 100% AANR club. While it is not as large and upscale as Caliente, it is still a great place to be able to get naked when it is too cold back home. We have a condo in the Fountains that we rent if you ever consider a trip to Paradise Lakes.
