First let me say that Club O is certainly moving in the right direction. You can see the improvements of new management. This is absolutely our favorite vacation spot. The grounds are very well kept, services continue to improve and the people working here simply don't get any better. The last two days have been very successful at the bead line. Two newly engaged couples actually went sans textiles. Perhaps they will honeymoon here. I know one of those couples ended up renting chairs. The beach is in good shape and fairly wide. We have lost some since our arrival. The beach ball races hit a high of between 30-40 naked people chasing their balls through the surf. As we enjoy our last few days the Buffett concert via Tiko Tiko appears on our horizon. Does it get any better?

doctorj, No....I don't think for us mere mortals that it can get any better than that! Our Buffett experience from 10 years ago on St. Barth's is definitely one of my fondest memories. We've seen him several times in the States but there is just a different vibe when you arrive at the concert via naked sailing! Hope you & mrsj have a wonderful time and look forward to your e-mails upon your return home (Nov 8th?). Also, can't wait to help out on the beadline in May 2010 (193 days but who's counting?!?) --sxmdoc

I think we finally have the signs positioned right. This morning I did,t even have to ask some pretty ladies. They just started because they read the signs. I will post pics of those as well when I get back.
Must get back to the beach.
Carib Cheers!

I wish everyone a great time. Me and the better half would be on a plane today, but with so many family issues this year, we will have to pass on our favorite place.

We will however finish off the bottle of Rum that we purchased from Coco's last year, tonight. That might help ease the pain. (not)

Giddi up

Just back from the beach. It was a quiet beach day for textiles but we did convert several.
Two ladies from the Dutch side will now definitely book on the French side with their significant others. Met some people from a catamaran who also enjoyed the bead line. Had several newbies who did the sans clothes option. We are now off to Papagayo to enjoy another great meal and entertainment!!!!
Carib Cheers!

For us newbies,

What are Sans clothes?

What is the beach ball race and the bead line? I'm trying to prepare myself for our trip there in January. Do I need to pack some beads and a beach ball?

Sans--French for lacking, as is without clothing. Mdecins Sans Frontires, "Doctors without borders"

DJ has these beach ball races, and is typically just a DJ thing, he also has signs and rewards (beads) encouraging the textile walking crowd on the beach to shed something to bare something, some others have free beer for topless bottomless signs, it isn't a regular thing, DrJ can explain better, on the beach ball rules. I sat three spots away from him last week and watched the activities. Better to go, get a feel for the place and plan the signs etc. for next visit. as DrJ will agree placement, reward, letter size, content makes a big deal in forcing the tourists to shed their tops and or bottoms.

Hi everyone. We got back home this morning at 1am. The night before on Tiko Tiko we saw Jimmy Buffett at St Barths. The concert was very cool but the highlight was while we were waiting for our tender to get back on board we had a beer at "The Wall House". We were sitting outside the bar and a small boat pulled up. Jimmy Buffett stepped out of the small boat and we got to meet him. He walked into the restaurant to have dinner. He thanked us for attending his concert--Can you believe that? Life is good. In JFK on the way home we stopped at a sports bar and met Bill Cower. What a weekend. I will try to get pics etc. together in the next few days. In the airport in St. Martin before we left we met two young ladies who did the bead line for the first time and thanked us for the encouragement. Thanks to all on Orient. Everyone there makes our vacation!
Carib Cheers,
